Deploy Google’s Gemini AI capabilities to unlock real-time assistance across ticket sales, attendees, check-ins, donations, and memberships.

Gemini will work with the data in your account and prompts, then return responses that you can take action on. The actions include exporting CSV reports, viewing processed reports, and adding the processed records to to-do tasks.

Connecting to Gemini

To connect your account to Gemini, you will need an API key from Google AI Studio.

Once you have obtained the API key, go to the Apps page, then scroll to the Gemini section.

Click on the Settings button.

On the new page, enter your API key, then save the form.

Using Gemini

From the Web App

In your web account, above the tables, expand the AI Data Analysis with Gemini section.

After that, type your question, then press Enter or click on the Ask Gemini button.

Gemini will then process your prompts then return a response. It may take a while for this process to complete, depending on how large your data is and how complex your prompts are.

If the returned response has actionable data, you will be presented with a dropdown with options to take. The options include viewing the processed response on the table, exporting it as CSV, or adding it to a to-do task.

From the Smartphone App

From our iOS or Android apps, once logged in, from the main page, scroll to the AI section, then tap on the Analyze Data with AI option.

On the new screen, type your prompt, then press Enter.

Gemini will then process your prompt and return a response. It may take a while for this process to complete, depending on how large your data is and how complex your prompt is.

If the returned response has actionable data, you will be presented with a dropdown with options to take. The options include viewing the processed response on a page, saving it, or adding it to a to-do task.

Gemini Settings

There are some options that you can configure to tailor the responses you get from Gemini.

Source of data being analyzed

To change the data being analyzed, from the web app, in the chat section, use the Data to Analyze dropdown menu.

From the smartphone app, in the chat screen, click on the Gears icon.

In the screen that follows, use the Chat Regarding dropdown.

Chat history

By default, both the web and smartphone apps save the chat history. The chat history only persists on the device or browser being used and the topic you’re chatting about.

For Gemini to maintain the context of what is being discussed and give relevant answers, have the Chat history enabled.

From the web app, in the chat section, click on the three-lines icon, then ensure that the Use chat history option is switched on.

From the smartphone app, in the chat screen, click on the Gears icon.

In the screen that follows, ensure the chat history option is checked, then tap on the Continue button.

To delete the chat history, from the respective sections, click or tap on the Clear Chat History button or menu option.

Refreshing data being analyzed

Once you’ve started chatting, the data being analyzed will be cached to improve response times. This, however, may cause stale responses being returned.

If necessary, you can choose to refresh this data from the same menu sections mentioned above.

From the respective app, click or tap on the Reload Data button or the Refresh Analysis Data menu option.

Models

By default, the app uses the latest chat models, but you can specify the one you wish to use.

Disconnecting from Gemini

To delete your API key, go to the Apps page, then scroll to the Gemini section.

Click on the Deactivate button, then follow further prompts shown.

Chat history

By default, both the web and smartphone apps save the chat history. The chat history only persists on the device or browser being used and the topic you’re chatting about.

For ChatGPT to maintain the context of what is being discussed and give relevant answers, have the Chat history enabled.

From the web app, in the chat section, click on the three-lines icon, then ensure that the Use chat history option is switched on.

Webhook Notification is a simple way that the platform can communicate with another server via HTTP.

You would need a URL that can receive HTTP POST requests. The server receiving these requests can then perform other tasks with the data, such as sending emails, notifying other apps, etc.

With the webhook notifications, you can receive notifications for tickets sold, revenues earned, check-ins, and movements tracked.

Depending on the notification type and frequency, posted data may include attendee details such as first name, last name, email address, and any other custom data.

Setting up Webhook Notifications

From the Integrations page, go to the Webhook Notifications section.

Click on the Settings button.

Notification Types

From the Settings page, there are four types of notifications that can be set up.

Sales Notifications

With the Sales notifications, HTTP POST requests will be sent whenever a ticket is sold or when a regular milestone is reached, for example, on every 50 tickets sold.

To set it up, first, choose the event from the Events dropdown, then choose Sales under the Notification Type dropdown.

After that, choose the ticket you want to receive notifications for, then select the frequency or type and enter your own value. For every ticket sale, you can type and enter “1”.

Check the Enable Notification checkbox, then enter the URL where the POST requests should be sent.

Revenue Notifications

With the Revenue notifications, HTTP POST requests will be sent whenever a ticket’s revenue earned reaches a regular amount, for example, on every $200 earned.

To set it up, first, choose the event from the Events dropdown, then choose Revenue under the Notification Type dropdown.

After that, choose the ticket you want to receive notifications for, then select the frequency or type and enter your own value. For every ticket revenue earned, you can type and enter “1”.

Check the Enable Notification checkbox, then enter the URL where the POST requests should be sent.

Attendee Check-in Notifications

With the Attendee Check-in notifications, HTTP POST requests will be sent whenever an attendee’s ticket is validated (checked-in). You can set it up for each ticket validation, or for a regular milestone, e.g., for every 30 check-ins made.

To set it up, first, choose the event from the Events dropdown, then choose Check-ins under the Notification Type dropdown.

After that, choose the ticket you want to receive notifications for, then select the frequency or type and enter your own value. For every check-in, you can type and enter “1”.

Check the Enable Notification checkbox, then enter the URL where the POST requests should be sent.

Attendee Movement Notifications

With the Attendee Movement notifications, HTTP POST requests will be sent whenever an attendee’s ticket is validated for movements. You can set it up for either those exiting a venue or for those returning to it.

To set it up, first, choose the event from the Events dropdown, then choose Movement under the Notification Type dropdown.

Push notifications are dismissable browser pop-up messages that appear on desktops or mobile devices regardless of whether one is logged in to an account or has the browser opened.

You can receive notifications for ticket sales, revenues earned, or checked-in attendees.

These notifications are specific to a user’s browser, therefore each user who is interested in receiving them would need to set up his/her own notification.

These push notifications, on desktops, are supported on Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and Edge browsers. On mobile devices, only Android OS supports them at this time.

The notifications will only be displayed on the last device that they were enabled on.

Setting up Push Notifications

From the Integrations page, go to the Push Notifications section.

Click on the Enable Notification button, then follow the browser prompts to grant the access permissions.

Connectors

A connector allows an underlying service to talk to Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Power Apps, and Azure Logic Apps. It provides a way for you to connect your account’s data and leverage a set of pre-built actions and triggers that enables you to create automated workflows.

Finding our connector

Our connector is named “Ticketing.events”.

During your workflow setup, search for “Ticketing.events” in the search box.

Using our connector

Ticketing.event’s connector enables you to automate the issuance of e-tickets using data outputs from other flows.

For example, data output from an Excel Online spreadsheet, Google Sheets, or Microsoft forms can be used to set up new attendees and issue e-tickets.

Setting up authentication

In order for Microsoft Power Automate to connect to your account, authentication is needed.

We use API keys for the authentication. To obtain the key, go to your Profile page.

On your Profile page, go to the API tab.

If you haven’t generated a key before, click on the Get API Key button.

A short string composed of random characters will be generated.

Click on the Copy button to copy it and paste it in your Power Automate account when prompted to do so.

Note – subsequent clicks on the Get API key button, will invalidate the previously generated keys.

Overview

A Zap is an automated workflow that connects your apps and services together. Every Zap consists of a trigger step (“when this happens…”) and one or more action steps (“then do this…”). When you turn your Zap on, Zapier will run the action steps every time the trigger event occurs. Learn more about them here.

Zapier Triggers

Ticketing.events offers these triggers below that can be used to automate tasks. For example, new attendee data received can be added automatically to MailChimp, or a Google Sheet.

New Attendee – this will be triggered whenever a person reserves a ticket. Data in the trigger includes the person’s name, email address, and any custom fields data filled out on the reservation form.

New Ticket – this will be triggered whenever a sale has been made. Data in the trigger includes the ticket name, quantity, amount paid, cart data, and the attendee’s details.

New Check-in – this will be triggered whenever a ticket has been scanned. Data in the trigger includes the attendee and ticket details.

Zapier Actions

Zapier Action steps can find and/or create items in apps integrated with Zapier.

Ticketing.events supports two actions. One can be used to create an attendee, whilst the other one can be used to allocate tickets.

With Zapier Actions, for example, you could easily fill out a Google Sheet with attendee details, and automatically have those attendee details used to create an attendee on Ticketing.events.

Connecting to Zapier

To get started with Zapier, from the Integrations page, go to Zapier then click on the Connect button.

When prompted to authenticate your account with ticketing.events, go to your Profile page > API tab.

Click on the Get API key then copy it and enter it in your Zapier account.

3-word addresses are easy to say and share, and are as accurate as GPS coordinates. This is useful in cases where an address is ambiguous, difficult to locate or hard to remember.
